SOTA Activation Mt Gillamatong – 14 December 2013

Mt Gillamatong VK2/ST-034 900 metres ASL near Braidwood NSW

Following the successful activation of Mt Palerang I continued north-east along the Mulloon Fire trail, which later changes name to Hoskinstown Road, then to Bombay Creek Road.  (Mulloon Fire Trail is suitable for 2WD vehicles).  At Bombay Creek Road turn left and drive directly to the Braidwood Bakery!  The plain meat pie is to die for, yum.  Later I went back for a second  🙂

Worked two distant stations on 2 metres 144.200, Graeme VK2FPQ in Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands and Brian VK2BX between Nowra and Kiama using the FT-817, 5 watts into the 2m Slim Jim.
