VK SOTA – Who is chasing who?

Summits on the Air (SOTA), who is chasing who?

Today I downloaded my SOTA Chaser and Activator logs and just for a bit of fun, I ran a pivot table over my SOTA chaser log to find out which SOTA activator I have chased the most.  To get an exact count by callsign, I included changes in callsign suffix, such as VK1DI/P, VK1DI/2, VK1DI/5 etc.    I started chasing SOTA activators on 28 September 2012 chasing Peter VK3ZPF on South Hells Gate VK3/VT-059, I recall Peter commenting on air that the summit environment was something akin ‘hell’.  Anyway below are the results of the top 20 SOTA activators as chased by me, sorted by the number of QSOs.    🙂

I have also included a breakdown of my SOTA activations for the top 20 chasers by QSO count.    😉

To take account of callsign upgrades, I have aggregated logged QSO counts.  Note that Mike 2E0YYY is in my top 20 list.

  2. This clearly shows that I am not activating enough. I shall prepare the slide deck to convince the wife! Data always wins the argument 🙂
